Our approach is centered on the belief that investing in the development of high-performing professionals not only benefits individuals but also drives transformational outcomes, positively impacting teams, organizations, and society as a whole.

Our Founder

Fatimah Williams, Ph.D., is an executive coach, speaker, and founder of Professional Pathways. With more than 15 years of experience in leadership consulting and a background in cultural anthropology, she has advised organizations including the National Institutes of Health, the Urban League, and more than 30 universities on leadership development, organizational strategy, and career growth.

Her professional development guidance has been featured in Essence Magazine, LMCTV-New York, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Black Doctor, and Scientific American. She is the author of three books, Be Bold, The Professional Pathways Planner, and her newest book, Options for Success, published by Oxford University Press, which guides job seekers through career transitions and the messy middle of reinvention.

Dr. Williams holds a doctorate in Cultural Anthropology from Rutgers University and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Virginia. She is the recipient of the University of Virginia Cultural Fluency Class Award, and has lived and worked in Latin America and Africa.

Driven by a passion for service, she has been a board member of the University of Virginia Alumni Association and advisory council member of the Zimmerli Art Museum. She lives in Pittsburgh with her spunky rescue dog Rey.
